Yoga For Weight Loss

The reality is that you won’t lose weight unless you burn more calories than you consume, so there’s no avoiding the role of your diet here (sorry!).

The good news is, Hot Power Yoga is a dynamic and athletic form of yoga so whilst you are stretching you’ll also be burning calories. Furthermore, you’ll be working your entire body and gaining muscle tone, so you will find yourself shaping up as well as losing weight.

Losing weight is just part of the picture though. Yoga also improves your digestive health by massaging your digestive system - stimulating digestion, increasing metabolism and helping move things along (yes, we had to go there). And, a healthy digestive system helps improve energy and overall wellbeing.

The heat in the studio also encourages you to sweat - which contains lots of toxins. So, whilst you’re practicing yoga you’re also cleaning your system out.

Because you’re losing liquid, you’ll also become more aware of keeping yourself hydrated. If you drink more water, you’ll not only be flushing your system out, but you may find your hunger pangs also reduce.
