Eliza’s interest in Yoga began in 2007, practising Ashtanga and Iyengar to compliment her chosen sport of hockey. Due to a serious illness her exploration of yoga was put on hold while she spent time recovering in hospital and a rehabilitation centre.
Eliza returned to yoga to rediscover the physical benefits, and found she experienced deeper mental and emotional healing qualities. She found Hot Power Yoga and immediately fell in love with the community as well as the powerful, flowing practice. Whilst still living with daily chronic pain and working in the city in corporate finance, she decided to enrol in Hot Power Yoga’s 40 Day Program to help support the shifts happening in her life.
Unable to continue working and following the transformational effects of the 40 Day Program on her life, Eliza began to volunteer at the studio. She soon became HPY’s very own Yoga Advisor, supporting the students at the studio, whilst incorporating the Hot Power Yoga practice into her daily life.
The next step on her journey at Hot Power Yoga was to complete her 200Hr Teacher Training and Assisting Programs. She is now teaching at the studio and is delighted to be able to share her love of the studio and the practice with the HPY community – through her teaching, assisting and work within the team.
Eliza’s classes offer a safe space for the exploration of body and mind, encouraging students to practice with compassion for their bodies.
